Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak met family members of
the passengers and crew of a missing Malaysia Airlines flight at the Kuala
Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) here today.
A photograph posted on the Twitter account of the Prime Minister's
Office showed Najib meeting the families of the crew of Flight MH370 which
disappeared from radar on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
Also captured in the photo was Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri
Muhyiddin Yassin.
The Boeing 777-200 bound for Beijing lost contact at 2.40 am
today, about two hours after taking off from the KLIA. The plane was carrying
227 passengers and 12 crew.
The passengers included 153 nationals from China, 38 Malaysia,
seven Indonesia, six Australia, five India, four France, three United States,
two each from New Zealand, Ukraine and Canada, and one each from Russia, Italy,
the Netherlands and Austria.
